As a tutor, I'm particularly interested in helping students develop creative problem-solving skills. This is often emphasized in startups, but every student is different, and there's more than one way to solve problems. I like to use this approach by first identifying where students are strong and where they have opportunities and then finding solutions that match those needs. I can tutor algebra, calculus, linear algebra, geometry, elementary math, C++, Ruby, JavaScript, data structures, Python, web development, multivariable calculus, trigonometry, algorithms, SAT math, ACT math, and more. When I have some free time, I like to hike, play in the snow and rain, attend performances, program for fun, follow technology, and practice public speaking with Toastmasters.
