Experience
I have a history in tutoring that goes all the way back to when I was in middle school, when I was approached by an americorp volunteer at an after school study group, who offered me the opportunity to help out given my work ethic. I then got hands on training and experience tutoring and caring for kids of special needs (mostly mental, learning, behavioral, and social disabilities) in a summer day camp program. This helped me focus on building individual goals, curriculum, relationships, and learning strategies for each child and their individual needs. From then on I have worked as a personal assistant, nanny, and of course tutor privately for families (3+ years) And to tutor for students individually for 5+ years

Hobbies
I am really good at turning study sessions into activates that are educational and really engage the student into learning quick and painlessly. I am also really good at building an balanced "routine" that the child (and you the parent) can become comfortable with. Which will reduce any unnecessary stress, that will likely carry on into the school year on their own, continuing a steady homework routine. One of my biggest objectives with any job is I look into finding the gaps in what the child needs to succeed and then doing my own "homework" to find the best way to remedy that.
